Wild Cod Collagen Strawberry

5.0 / 51 review

We believe collagen is one of the most overlooked aspects of human nutrition. Many people, in our opinion, suffer from a range of issues that they might not have with sufficient collagen. Such as joint, skin, hair, nail problems etc.

  • Tasteless — It is tasteless and very well soluble due to a more expensive form of hydrolysation.
  • Eco-friendly packaging — It is packed in 100% eco-friendly material.
  • For vegetarians — Suitable for vegetarians who tolerate the consumption of wild fish.
  • Strawberry flavour — Flavoured variant with natural strawberry flavour, stevia, and vitamin C.

This collagen hydrolysate from wild cod contains natural vitamin C from acerola. Together, these components support a range of bodily processes that benefit from sufficient collagen - such as skin, hair, and nails, but also vessels, bones, cartilage, and teeth. It is a high-quality fish collagen hydrolysate from wild cod (not farmed) from the best catch areas without heavy contamination and pollution. It is tasteless and very well soluble due to a more expensive form of hydrolysation. Flavoured variant with natural strawberry flavour, stevia, and vitamin C, which synergistically combines with the product's collagen protein. It is packed in 100% eco-friendly material. Suitable for vegetarians who tolerate the consumption of wild fish.

Description

Wild Cod Strawberry Collagen

High-quality fish collagen hydrolysate from wild cod (not farmed) from the best fishing areas, free from common contamination and pollution. Sustainable fishing and European origin.

THIS IS A NEW FLAVOURED VARIANT with natural strawberry flavour, stevia, and natural vitamin C (from acerola), which synergistically combines with the collagen protein of the product.

Also suitable for vegetarians who tolerate the consumption of wild fish.

There are many brands and types of collagen on the market, most often from sources of mass-farmed pigs and cattle, which have varying purity, quality, and origin - often very questionable. According to the manufacturer of this collagen, nothing can match the naturalness of wild fish with environmentally friendly catching and processing, ensuring sustainability for the future.

Cheap collagen variants are usually extra cheap because the cheapest form of mass hydrolysis is used, essentially from waste parts of unhealthy animals from mass farms (pigs and cattle). The result is a product that foams a lot and forms lumps and pieces, sometimes with an unpleasant smell and taste. Our wild cod collagen is soluble even in cold water - perfect for use in drinks or recipes. It has a neutral taste and smell.

Collagen is, in my opinion, one of the most overlooked parts of human nutrition. People commonly eat very lean proteins (chicken breasts, steaks, cutlets..) but avoid natural sources of collagen such as cartilage, tendons, skin, marrow, ligaments, etc. Many people, in my opinion, suffer from a number of problems that they might not have with adequate collagen intake (and the amino acids that collagen protein naturally contains in greater amounts). Such as joint, skin, hair, nail problems, etc. About 30% of the human body is made up of collagen, including the largest organ of the human body - the skin. Collagen is the most abundant protein in organisms worldwide and is important for the strength, elasticity, and regeneration of all tissues, organs, ligaments, joints, etc. It contains high concentrations of Glycine, Lysine, and Proline.

Glycine is present in collagen in very high amounts, and its importance for our organism is evidenced by the fact that it is the second most abundant amino acid in the human body after Glutamine and plays an important role in virtually any part of the human body. Although it is a so-called non-essential amino acid, the intake of L-Glycine in supplementation is particularly crucial for athletes. In our body, Glycine is essential in the so-called process of protein synthesis, which is the process of creating and renewing muscle mass, collagen, and connective structures. But that's not all, Glycine, along with Arginine and Methionine, participates in the natural production of creatine in muscle cells, which is then used for the renewal of cellular energy ATP. Glycine also significantly contributes to the renewal of the intestinal lining along with Glutamine. Glycine also serves as a basis for the natural production of the body's super antioxidant Glutathione and participates in the regulation of the metabolic synthesis of components used by the brain and nervous system, therefore it is also used to support calm and quality sleep.

Detail

What percentage of various parts of our body is made up of collagen?

  • 90% of the eye's sclera
  • 80% of tendons
  • 75% of skin
  • 60% of cartilage
  • 30% of bones
  • 1–10% of muscle mass

Collagen essentially functions as glue for our entire body. It creates connective tissue, thus supporting the healthy structure of skin, muscle tissue, bones, and tendons. Even the term “collagen” comes from the Greek word “kólla” and the French suffix “-gen”. The word can be literally translated as “glue production”.

This glue-like protein is particularly concentrated in the so-called extracellular matrix (ECM). The ECM essentially functions as a support system similar to an imaginary network that holds cells together. The ECM is also responsible for sending signals to reduce inflammation and repair damaged cells.

Hydrolysed collagen is a unique combination of amino acids in a concentrated amount. This protein has a very low molecular weight and is therefore very easily digestible - within minutes of ingestion. It does not solidify or coagulate because it has been hydrolysed for quick use. Collagen is important for nitrogen balance and is nowadays considered a top anti-aging product.

Note: I owe my comprehensive recovery from a severe injury (distal biceps tendon rupture in 2014) to this product, having consumed about 8 packages in combination with vitamin C to speed up healing during the first 2 months post-surgery. Currently, I alternate between 1 month of beef and 1 month of fish collagen and repeat or combine.

It can be mixed into favourite drinks or food due to its neutral taste.

This wild cod collagen hydrolysate also contains natural vitamin C from Acerola. In combination, these components support a range of bodily processes that benefit from sufficient collagen - such as skin, hair, and nails, but also blood vessels, bones, cartilage, and teeth.

Contains natural sweetener Stevia and has a fresh strawberry flavour. The product mixes easily with liquids and is quickly absorbed. Within minutes, the body receives specific amino acids and substances it needs, especially during increased physical performance. Specifically, it is type I collagen of sustainable European origin.

Fresh strawberry flavour and a product extremely rich in glycine
Gentle white collagen powder with a fresh strawberry flavour. The product contains Stevia and vitamin C from acerola. The product has undergone an additional processing step, allowing the powder mix to easily blend with liquids and be quickly absorbed. With two tablespoons a day, you sufficiently supplement your diet with these pure proteins. One of the amino acids common in collagen is glycine. Glycine is partially essential. This means the body does not naturally produce enough. The body produces about 3 grams a day, but requires about 10 grams a day for basic processes. Dietary intake of glycine is therefore necessary and very beneficial.

Not just a passive tissue building block

Collagen is generally considered a passive tissue material with only mechanical properties, but this is incorrect. Collagen also has dielectric and electrical conductivity properties. This ensures it functions as a kind of communication system, connecting the entire body as a coherent whole. Collagen also plays a role in energy production.

Collagen: Liquid crystal?

Our body renews all collagen every six months. For strong and well-functioning collagen, it is important to obtain the right nutrients, exercise sufficiently and sensibly, and especially to drink enough water. In the body, collagen is a substance that lies between a solid crystal and a liquid state. This is also called a 'liquid crystal'. For proper function, water is crucial. Therefore, drinking sufficient water is essential.
