FAQ

Everything you need to know

How does the Red Velvet shade look on nails?
Red Velvet is a rich velvet red. On the nails it looks glamorous and timeless. Green Flash™ delivers intense colour with a high shine.
How long does a Green Flash™ manicure last?
The maker states up to 12 days with Top Coat Green Flash™ and up to 21 days with Top Coat Xtrem Flash™, without damaging the nail plate. Actual wear depends on nail preparation and everyday activities such as water, cleaning, sport or manual work.
How do I remove the polish?
Without filing and without acetone. Soak a cotton pad in Green Flash™ remover, hold it on the nail with a Manucurist clip and leave it for a few minutes. The maker states the polish starts to release from 1 minute; very pigmented shades may need a little longer. The polish lifts off naturally, and any remnants can be gently removed with a wooden stick.
Which LED lamp and curing times should I use?
The maker recommends an LED lamp of at least 24 W. 24 W lamp: base 2 minutes, each colour coat 2 minutes, Top Coat 3 minutes. 36 W lamp: base 1 minute, each colour coat 1 minute, Top Coat 2 minutes. 48 W lamp: base, each colour coat and Top Coat 1 minute each. For lamps of other power, the maker does not guarantee the result.
Can I do an LED manicure at home as a beginner?
Yes. Thanks to easy curing under an LED lamp, you can comfortably do your manicure at home without any experience. The whole application on both hands takes about 30–40 minutes.
How does Green Flash™ differ from a classic polish and gel?
Green Flash™ is a cured semi-permanent polish that combines the staying power of a gel manicure with the simplicity of a classic polish. You cure the coats under an LED lamp and remove them like a classic polish within a few minutes, without filing.
Can Green Flash™ cause an allergic reaction?
The maker states that Green Flash™ is suitable for sensitive nails and skin and that its formula contains none of the sensitising substances common in many gel polishes, such as methacrylate monomers, HEMA, acrylates, titanium or nickel. It is also certified gluten-free. According to the maker, most customers who reacted to classic gel polishes do not react to Green Flash™; however, an allergy can also occur with ingredients of natural origin. If in doubt, consult a doctor.
What is Green Flash™ made from?
The polish contains up to 84% bio-based ingredients from renewable sources — sugar cane, cassava, cotton, corn and wheat. These bio-based ingredients replace petrochemicals; you will find the full ingredient list for the shade in the Ingredients (INCI) section.
What does 12-free mean, and which substances does the polish not contain?
The maker states a 12-free label and a formula free from endocrine disruptors and CMR substances. The polish contains no HEMA monomer, Di-HEMA TMHDC, hydroquinone, formaldehyde or toluene and complies with strict European legislation.
How should I prepare my nails before application?
Thoroughly degrease the nails with Green Flash™ remover or Nail Prep. Then apply a thin layer of Green Flash™ Base Coat to the clean surface.
How should I store the polish?
For a longer shelf life, the maker recommends keeping Green Flash™ polishes in the fridge. The bottle holds 15 ml of polish.
From what age can Green Flash™ be used?
The maker states that Green Flash™ polish can be used from the age of 16.
Is Green Flash™ suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
The maker states that Green Flash™ products have not been specifically tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women. As a precaution, it recommends speaking to a healthcare professional who can best advise you on your situation.
Is the polish vegan?
Yes. The maker states a vegan formula, a cruelty-free approach and production in France with respect for both health and the planet.

Customer experiences

Real customer experiences help describe the texture, scent and long-term feel of the product. Reviews are shown in their original wording.

How we verify reviews

Any customer signed in to their account can write a review; customers without an account can write one via a link we send to the email address of a delivered order. A review that our system links to a delivered order of this product is marked as “Verified purchase”; other reviews do not carry this label. Some reviews marked as “Verified purchase” come from our previous online shop (until 27 August 2026), where likewise only customers who had made a purchase could write a review; we no longer have them matched to a specific order. We check every review against our content rules before publishing it, usually within 24 hours; a positive or negative rating is never a reason for rejection.
