The story and signature behind the brand

Manucurist is a French nail polish and LED gel polish brand from Paris. It grew out of the family nail salon that Fanny opened in 1996; her daughter Gaëlle Lebrat Personnaz gave the brand its present shape when she took the business over and turned it towards more responsible production.

What sets it apart is the raw material: instead of petrochemicals, the maker states that its polishes are built on biomass-derived ingredients — it names corn, wheat, cotton, cassava, sugarcane and even potatoes. Nine substances sit on the brand's own blacklist, among them dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, camphor and parabens; according to the maker, the Green Flash™ range launched in 2019 contains no HEMA or other methacrylates either. The whole range is certified vegan by The Vegan Society.
