John Masters Organics is an American hair and skin care brand. It was founded in 1994 by New York stylist John Masters in his SoHo apartment — he started with a handful of hand-blended products, looking for a gentler routine than the one he knew from salons.
From that Manhattan apartment, the brand says it grew into a global line of hair, skin and body care and aromatherapy. In 1995 the founder opened what the brand describes as the world's first clean air salon, and in 2005 the products reached Whole Foods Market stores across the United States. The maker sums up its position by saying that nature should be the source.
