Ayurvedic rituals with Ranavat

The end of summer isn't a reason for me to give up the glow. Quite the opposite. It's the moment I add more nourishment, oils, saffron and small rituals that make both skin and mind feel good. Exactly how we love it at Liviny.

4 Ayurvedic rituals I want to carry from summer into autumn

Because there are some things from summer I simply don't want to let go of. And glowing skin is one of them.

I love the end of summer in a strange kind of way. It's still warm, my skin still holds the sun, the evenings are still long, but you can already feel something shifting in the air. And that's exactly the moment I start slowly changing my skincare, too.

Not dramatically. I don't like ten-step routines, or the feeling that I have to swap out half my bathroom with every new season. I'd rather start listening to my skin and body a little more — add a bit more nourishment, more oils, less rushing, and return to rituals that make me feel good, not just on my skin but in my head, too.

Maybe that's exactly why I feel so close to Ayurveda. And to RANAVAT, too.

What I've always loved about this brand was never just the beautiful bottles. There's something much deeper behind it — Indian tradition, saffron, botanical oils and rituals passed down through generations. And yet it's all presented in a way that fits perfectly into life today.

Here are four things I'm taking from their Ayurvedic approach into autumn, too.

1. First, I wake the skin up

After summer, I always feel like my skin needs a little "reset." Sun, sea, pools, travel or air conditioning — over summer we often put it through more than we realise.

That's why I love gentle exfoliation. No aggressive scrubbing. More a dry brush or a gentle body peel and a few minutes just for myself.

Ayurveda has worked with a similar principle for hundreds of years. Traditional Udvarthana is a body massage using finely ground herbal powders. And that's exactly what I love about Ayurveda — even something as ordinary as body skincare suddenly turns into a ritual.

I don't do it because I "have to." I do it because it makes me feel good afterwards. And to me, that's always the most important thing in skincare.

2. Oil on damp skin. If you're not doing this yet, try it.

This is one of those little tricks I keep coming back to. After a shower, I don't dry my skin completely. I leave it slightly damp, warm a few drops of oil between my palms and slowly massage it in.

The difference is really noticeable. Skin is instantly softer, more supple, and that pleasant feeling lasts completely differently than when you quickly apply care to dry skin.

And most of all, I love the moment itself. A warm shower, oil, clean pyjamas and a scent on the skin. It's two or three minutes, but for me, exactly these small things are what make the difference between "cosmetics" and real self-care.

In Ayurveda, oils hold an extraordinary place, and I'm not surprised at all. Once you get used to them, it's hard to go back.

3. After summer, I always look a little more closely at my skin

You might know this feeling too. In summer we often feel like our skin looks great, and then late August comes, the light changes, and the tan slowly fades. Suddenly we start noticing pigment spots, uneven tone, drier patches, or skin that no longer has that typical July glow.

And this is exactly where the most beautiful part of RANAVAT begins for me.

Saffron. Turmeric. Licorice. Botanical ingredients that have held their place in Indian beauty care for generations.

And yet you never feel like you're using something traditional in an old-fashioned sense. Quite the opposite. It's luxurious, sensory and perfectly contemporary.

Personally, I like a simple routine during this time: hydration, antioxidants, care for a more even complexion, and of course SPF. And it's exactly the Brightening Saffron Serum from RANAVAT that belongs to the products where I truly understand why such a strong community has formed around them.

Because it's not just about a list of active ingredients. It's also that moment when you pick up the bottle, apply a few drops, notice the scent and texture, and feel like you've just given yourself something genuinely beautiful.

And honestly — these are exactly the kinds of products I love choosing for Liviny, too. The kind you don't just use up. The kind you keep coming back to.

4. And then there's something that isn't in any bottle

The longer I'm interested in Ayurveda, the more I love one thing about it: it never separates beauty from how we live. And I think that's something we often forget today.

We can have the best serum in the world, but if we spend the whole day on autopilot, eat in a rush, check our phone still in bed and never stop for a moment, something always feels missing.

That's why, in autumn, I deliberately watch for the small moments that bring me back to myself:

  • a warm tea,

  • a few minutes of silence,

  • an oil massage,

  • an evening routine without a phone,

  • a beautiful scent in the bathroom.

Nothing big. But in my view, exactly these things create the feeling of luxury I love most. Not the flashy kind. The private kind. The one no one else needs to know about.

And maybe that's exactly why RANAVAT feels so close to me

There are so many beauty brands today that a beautiful package or a single "hero ingredient" alone hasn't caught my attention in a long time. I want more. I want to know why a product was created, where its ingredients come from, what philosophy it carries, and above all — I want to actually look forward to it.

That's exactly why we wanted RANAVAT at Liviny, too. It combines exactly what I love most about cosmetics:

  • exceptional formulas,

  • tradition,

  • sensory pleasure,

  • beauty,

  • and ritual.

It's not a brand you buy because you need "some serum." It's a brand you choose the moment you want something more from your skincare.

And if you've been with us at Liviny for a while, I think you know exactly what I mean. We don't look for cosmetics just because they're popular right now. We look for products that stop us for a reason, that we keep a little more in view on the bathroom shelf, that we recommend to a friend, and that we want to order again the moment we've used them up.

So, my autumn plan?

  • Slow down a little.

  • Never skip oil after the shower.

  • Bring saffron and richer textures back into the routine.

  • Keep faithfully wearing SPF.

  • And in the evening, truly enjoy those few minutes of self-care.

Because self-care doesn't have to be another obligation. It can be the part of the day you look forward to most.

And that's exactly the feeling I'd love Liviny to give you every single time you open your new package. Something beautiful. Chosen with care. And, for a moment, entirely yours.
